Traditional campus attendance systems rely on manual recording, which is inefficient, error-prone and vulnerable to credential fraud. This paper develops a web-based smart campus entry attendance system with dual-authentication combining barcode identification and real-time facial recognition. The system is built with Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB, and uses OpenCV for real-time face verification. Experimental results show that the system achieves 99% recognition accuracy and completes each verification within one second. The dual-authentication mechanism effectively improves access security and reduces unauthorized access. This work provides a low-cost, efficient and contactless solution for campus attendance management, with good practical value for educational institutions.
