Learners and Teachers’ Level of Satisfaction in Online Teaching:Its Effects on Their Personal Development

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effects of the learners and teachers’ level of satisfaction in online teaching to their personal development during the school year 2020- 2021.It utilized the descriptive correlational method to determine the difference in the level of satisfaction between the teachers and the learners as well as the relationship between the learners’ personal development and their level of satisfaction. It also utilized documentary analysis to determine the learners and teachers’ school performance. To determine the difference in the level of satisfaction between the learners and teachers, Spearman’s rank correlation was used. To determine the relationship between the personal development of the learners and their level of performance rank correlation was utilized. The study revealed that there was significant difference between the teachers’ and the learners’ level of satisfaction in terms of technology, strategies and interaction with the teachers obtained the highest rating over the learners. The findings further revealed that the school performance of the learners and teachers was correlated with their mental development. The positive correlation suggests that the mental development of the learners have a difference on their academic performance, hence better mental development yields a better academic performance.
