Abstract: This paper proposes a novel method for evaluating the braking system on vehicle. The retardation system is a process that converts the kinetic energy of the vehiclein the mechanicalenergy that must be dissipated in the atmosphere in the form of heat. Mechanical brakes operateas two surfaces are rubbed against each other by creating frictional forces. The stop-power orbrake capability mainly relies on the friction surface area and the drive force applied. There are serious frictions and wear on the work surfaces. Thus, the longevity of a brake or service lifebetween maintenance depends heavily on the which type of material used in the shoe or pad.
