Faster growth of cloud computing demands higher security solutions to protect sensitive data. Traditional Single-factor authentication (SFA) offers limited protection, driving the exploration of Two Factor Authentication (2FA) mechanisms. This paper presents a comparative analysis of 2FA methods, including SMS-based and biometric authentication, to evaluate their effectiveness in enhance the cloud security. The proposed research paper will conduct a thorough literature review to understand the existing landscape of 2FA techniques and how they impact the security postures. Second, we perform a comparative analysis, evaluating each 2FA method based on security strength, user convenience, and potential bypass vulnerabilities. Based on the analysis techniques followed in the paper will review and provide elaborate knowledge about existing methods of 2FA and their security strengths, provides a holistic understanding of how different 2FA methods influence cloud security. By analyzing each method's strengths, weaknesses, and implementation will be considered accordingly, this research aims to offer valuable insights to guide the selection of 2FA methods for robust cloud security.
